ECMC nurse accused of raping hospital patient

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A nurse at ECMC is facing felony charges after authorities say he raped and sexually abused a woman in his care.

Clarence Center resident Jordan Donalson, 23, was charged with rape, forcible touching, two counts of criminal sex act and two counts of sexual abuse.

“Upon notification of the allegations, ECMC immediately placed the employee on administrative leave,” ECMC Vice President of Communications and External Affairs Peter K. Cutler said. “ECMC is cooperating on this matter with the NYS Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs.”

The Justice Center worked with Buffalo Police to make the arrest.

“The patient in this case was receiving necessary care at ECMC, and as such is legally incapable of consenting to sexual conduct with this defendant,” said Special Prosecutor Patricia Gunning. “For a licensed professional to abuse their position of authority for sexual gratification, as the defendant in this case is alleged to have done, is reprehensible.”

Donalson was placed on administrative leave and released on bond. Bail had been set at $10,000. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
