GRAND ISLAND, N.Y. (WIVB) — A driver with 46 active license suspensions and revoked driving privileges was taken into custody in Grand Island on Monday night.
Deputies with the Erie County Sheriff’s Office stopped Enoch Cray, 49, after they say he ran a red light and was driving without tail lights. The Rochester man’s suspensions were discovered by deputies and he was subsequently charged with felony aggravated unlicensed operation. Cray was also accused of other traffic and vehicle violations.
Cray was not the only person being looked into by the law that night. His passenger, Niagara Falls resident Lisa Lee, 43, was allegedly wanted for an outstanding family court warrant out of Erie County. Deputies say she failed to pay child support.
Both people were taken to the Erie County Holding Center. Lee posted $500 bail, but Cray is still being held pending his Wednesday arraignment.
