“Marshall” actress Kate Hudson takes in the local sights in WNY

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) – As filming continues for the upcoming film “Marshall”, you may get a glimpse of Hollywood star Kate Hudson in Western New York.

The Oscar nominee is now in town to make the film which is based on the early career of Thurgood Marshall, the first African-American to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court. Hudson plays a wealthy socialite named Eleanor Strubing in the film.

Hudson is taking in the Western New York experience while she’s here. She’s posted a few short videos on her snapchat account showing her taking a ride on the Maid of the Mist, heading up to the Hurricane Deck at the Cave of the Winds, while showing off the styling sandals given out at that attraction. There’s also a video showing that she tried our area’s famous wings.

Maid of the Mist tweeted out a photo of Hudson aboard their boat.

Hudson is one of several big stars in town for filming this month. “Marshall” stars Chadwick Boseman, Dan Stevens, and Josh Gad, among others.

Filming continues through the end of this month in our area.
