Burglary, attempted murder, more lead to nearly 2-decade sentence for Buffalo man

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A series of crimes spanning months landed a Buffalo man in jail.

Brandon Frontuto, 21, was sentenced to 18.5 years in prison for attempted murder, criminal possession of a weapon and two counts of attempted burglary.

In September, Frontuto burglarized a home in Cheektowaga.

More than two months later in November, Frontuto robbed a Buffalo auto repair shop and shot someone there. The victim was injured, but lived.

The next day, prosecutors say Frontuto burglarized Buffalo’s Pierce Arrow building. During that incident, he stole tools and other items.

Between Frontuto’s third and fourth crimes, more than three months had passed.

In February, Buffalo Police stopped him while he was driving. While looking through his vehicle, they found an illegal, shortened shotgun. He has been in custody since then.

Frontuto admitted to his crimes in April and was sentenced on Monday.
