Police investigating 21 weekend vehicle larcenies in City of Tonawanda

TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) — An unusually high amount of car larcenies took place in the City of Tonawanda over the weekend.

Police say 21 vehicles had items taken from them. Most of the thefts happened from Friday night to Saturday morning in the areas of Rogers Drive, Murray Terrace and Mosher Drive.

The stolen items were described by City of Tonawanda Police as laptops, Kindles, money, lottery tickets, electronic cords and loose change.

Two of the vehicles involved were parked in garages, but with the garage doors left open.

Detectives with the department say they have a few leads and have gathered physical evidence related to the crimes.
