Woman in police custody after car vs. train accident

ALDEN, N.Y. (WIVB) – A woman could face DWI charges after her vehicle was hit by a train.

The Erie County Sheriff’s Office tells News 4 the accident happened at the train crossing on Townline Road near the Alden-Lancaster borders.

Deputies say a CSX train clipped the front of the woman’s car right before 9 o’clock tonight.

The driver is OK, but was taken into police custody. Deputies expect to charge her with DWI.
