Old Falls Street kicks off Fourth of July with carnival

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) — Niagara falls is kicking off the Fourth of July holiday weekend with a three-day carnival.

Crowds gathered downtown at Old Falls Street for rides, games and food.

You can also catch two different firework shows there this weekend. The first is Saturday night at the Seneca Niagara Casino, and the second is Monday night over the falls.

Organizers say the carnival is a chance to showcase what Old Falls Street has to offer.

“This is a wonderful way to bring a slice of Americana to all of our visitors in downtown Niagara Falls this weekend. Those that are visiting their families that live here, those who are out of state and those from out of the country can really see how Americans like to enjoy their summers, said Susan Swiatkowski, Marketing Director at Old falls Street USA.

The carnival runs until 10 p.m. Saturday night and kicks off again Sunday at noon.
