Four separate overnight Buffalo shootings, at least 4 injured, 1 dead

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — It was a busy night for Buffalo Police detectives late Monday night, going into early Tuesday morning. Over the span of just a few hours, police say there was 4 separate shootings. At least 5 people were injured.

According to the Buffalo Police Department:

  • Just before midnight, a 16-year-old Buffalo girl walked into ECMC after being shot on Bailey and Dartmouth Avenue. She was treated and released.
  • Just after midnight, a 25-year-old Buffalo man was shot in the leg in the area of Sattler Avenue and Doat Street. Victim was taken to ECMC and later released.
  • Around 1AM, police responded to a double shooting on Broadway and Strauss, one victim had serious injuries and later died. The other victim, a 29-year-old man, suffered non-life threatening injuries. Police could be seen taping off the area with crime scene tape. Afterwards, a large group of people gathered nearby.
  • A 21-year-old Buffalo man was shot at Kent Street and Warren Avenue. The victim was driven to ECMC.

As of right now, there’s no word if anyone has been arrested. Police said on Tuesday that at least one of the shootings was gang-related.
