Hundreds of thousands of hoverboards recalled

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Consumer Products Safety Commission has recalled about 501,000 hoverboards due to fire hazards.

The hoverboards are being recalled due to the fact that their lithium-ion battery packs can overheat, creating the potential for smoke and fire.
