BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The Buffalo Sabres announced today that the team has signed forward Marcus Foligno to a one-year contract. The Buffalo native will skate for a sixth season with the Sabres, having tallied 36 goals and 57 assists throughout his tenure with the blue and gold.

During the 2015-16 campaign, the 24-year-old recorded a career-high in games played (75), goals (10) and points (23). Foligno also tied his career-high with 13 assists, as well as being a plus-4 on the ice.

With the addition of Kyle Okposo and the potential signing of Jimmy Vesey, the Sabres fill another forward spot in Foligno and look to take advantage on offense by the time October hits.
