Boy injured after being struck by a car in Buffalo

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) –  A 10-year-old boy was recovering Thursday night after he was struck by a vehicle at Dartmouth and Comstock Avenues.

According to police, the driver fled the scene around 7 p.m. Police were able to track down Phoebe Banks, 38, with the use of surveillance cameras and she has been arrested.

Banks was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and traffic and vehicle violations.

The child has been treated and released from Women and Children’s Hospital.
