Olcott Beach deemed safe for swimming

OLCOTT, N.Y. (WIVB) — After shutting down for more than a month, Olcott Beach has reopened to swimmers.

After sampling the water on Wednesday, the Niagara County Department of Health determined the water to be safe for swimming.

The beach was closed to swimmers on June 22 after testers said the water had “unsatisfactory bacteriological” quality.
