Serious motorcycle crash followed Darien Lake concert

DARIEN, NY (WIVB) – Two people were rushed to the hospital after a motorcycle crash in Genesee County.

The crash happened Wednesday night near Darien Lake.

Traffic was letting out from the Heart and Joan Jett concert at the park.

Someone told one of the park deputies directing traffic that the bike ran into the back of two cars, and then kept going.

Another deputy saw it, and took off after it.  That deputy saw the motorcycle go off the road.

Eric Brumstead, 55, of East Bethany was found under the bike. His passenger has been identified as 40-year-old Andrea Farruggia.

Farruggia is in guarded condition, Brunstead is listed as satisfactory.  Both are at Strong Memorial Hospital.
