Australia’s Endycott wins Porter Cup

Endycott knocked off Pittsford's Gavin Hall in the final round.

NIAGARA FALLS COUNTRY CLUB (WIVB) – Despite leading the first three days of the tournament, Pittsford’s Gavin Hall collapsed in the final round of the tournament.

Hall shot a two-over par and lost a four stroke lead he held at the start of Saturday morning.

That cleared the way for Australian golfer Harrison Endycott to take the lead. Endycott sunk three pivotal birdies over the final five holes. He took the lead on the 16th hole when Hall bogey and never relinquished. He finished with a -14.

It was a bittersweet ending for Hall, who finished third in the Porter Cup last season. He finished with an overall score of -13.
