CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB) — A free drug drop-off event in Erie County is happening until 6 p.m. Tuesday, August 2.
Those interested in getting rid of their unwanted or unneeded drugs can go to the Erie County Emergency Services Training and Operations Center at 3359 Broadway in Cheektowaga.
“This one-day event will provide a safe way for residents to dispose of unneeded prescription drugs and any over-the-county medications in a safe, efficient and responsible manner,” Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz said. “Providing a quick and easy drive-thru procedure to dispose of unwanted medications can help avoid having these potentially dangerous substances accumulate in your home.”
Any prescription, over-the-counter medications will be accepted at the collection site.
