PITTSFORD, N.Y. (WIVB) – The Bills held their first night practice on Saturday at St. John Fisher College where fourth-year receiver Robert Woods impressed in an inter-squad scrimmage. News 4 Sports’ Tom Martin chatted with Woods after practice.
TOM MARTIN: Hanging out at Bills training camp after the first scrimmage tonight. Robert Woods caught a long TD from Tyrod Taylor, take me through that play for you.
ROBERT WOODS: It was a double move, corner was playing way off, I tried to get him to bite down, which he did but he played so far off I just had to run by him. Tyrod put the ball where only I could get it for a TD.
TM: What have you noticed about Tyrod, as he continues to evolve?
RW: It’s hard to say, he approaches each year and practice the same. He always attacks it as a leader, as a competitor, it’s hard to say cause he always competes and always shows up.
TM: How much of this is about pride, offense vs. defense, it’s actual live action now…
RW: Most definitely. We’re on the same team, we’re just competing, you line up in front of us, you gonna have to deal with us.
TM: Enjoy the day off tomorrow, Bills back on Monday, with Robert Woods I’m Tom Martin for News 4 Sports.
