FBI offering $20,000 reward for information leading to arrest of 1979 shooting victim’s killer

CALEDONIA, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Federal Bureau of Investigation is offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the killing of Tammy Jo Alexander.

Alexander, a Florida teenager, was found dead in a Livingston County cornfield on November 10, 1979. She had been shot in the head and the back when she was discovered in Caledonia, a town southwest of Rochester.

Alexander was not positively identified as the victim until January of last year. She went missing sometime between 1977 and 1979.
