3 men sentenced for Fall burglaries

NORTH TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) — A North Tonawanda man is going to jail and his stepson will be on probation after the two admitted to burglary.

John Battaglia and James Baglio, both 49, burglarized a number of homes in Erie, Genesee and Niagara counties in Fall of 2015. Prosecutors say they stole firearms and jewelry.

John’s stepson Kyle Wade admitted he burglarized a Lancaster home with Baglio in October. Wade pleaded guilty to second-degree attempted burglary.

Baglio admitted to five burglary counts and one count of robbery. He will spend eight years in prison. Battaglia was sentenced to six years in jail.
