Alleged meth lab causes Lockport apartment fire

LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) — On the same night as the Lockport tire plant fire, another fire broke out in the city.

This one, New York State Police say, was caused by a meth lab.

First responders rushed to an apartment complex on Robinson Rd. Wednesday night to find the source of smoke coming from the building.

According to authorities, indicators of a meth lab were found during their search. That was blamed for the fire and smoke.

After this was allegedly found, Thomas Fusco, 33, was arrested and charged with unlawfully manufacturing methamphetamine.

He was jailed in Niagara County without bail. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
