Authorities looking for men accused of trying to sell stolen chainsaws

WEST SHERIDAN, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office is looking for two men who tried to sell stolen chainsaws at a pawn shop in West Sheridan.

Deputies say the men entered Pawn Stars on Route 20 on July 26. While inside, the men tried to sell the following items:

  • Two orange 24 inch bar Husquvarna model 372 saws
  • One red and black 24 inch bar Jonsered model 2671 saw

The next day, the men entered the store again and tried to sell two of the saws. Both times, they were turned away, as the business did not think the men should be in possession of the high-end saws.

All three of the saws were reported stolen from someone in Ripley. Each one is valued at roughly $1,000.

The men deputies are looking for are pictured below. The older one did not speak, but the younger one spoke broken English.

Anyone with information on the men is asked to call 753-2131.
