Jamestown man sentenced to life in prison after running drug organization

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Jamestown man will spend the rest of his life in prison after running a drug trafficking organization and putting out a contract for murder.

Between 2007 and June 2008, Jose Martinez (a.k.a. Noelle), 47, ran a drug organization in Jamestown. While serving as the leader, he supplied cocaine to another drug trafficking organization run by Quentin Leeper.

In May 2008, prosecutors say Martinez put out a murder-for-hire contract that eventually led to the death of Quincy Turner — a man he believed was working with law enforcement officers to investigate Leeper.

Martinez was convicted of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine before his sentence of life in prison.
