First responders raise money for Special Olympics

ANGOLA, N.Y. (WIVB)- First responders took on a unique challenge on Saturday to help raise money for the Special Olympics.

Teams from Evans Center Volunteer Fire Company and Angola Volunteer Fire Company, and New York State Troopers competed to see who could pull a fire truck the fastest during the law enforcement torch run.

This is the largest grassroots fundraising and public awareness event for Special Olympics in the world.

More than two million dollars was raised last year!
