Roswell Park Cancer Institute gets big donation

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB)- Roswell Park Cancer Institute received a big donation on Saturday. The company Healthy Ones and Tops donated $20,000 to support cancer research and patient care

They presented the donation just before the start of the Tops 5K and 10K Run and Family Walk.

Organizers at the event told News 4 they appreciate the community opening up and giving them the strength to keep going.

”You have the Western New York community understand the importance of what this event does and the money it raises and where the money goes, it’s incredible,” said Kathleen Graim, the race director. “People have opened their hearts and their wallets and give so many people the strength to continue the fight.”

Organizers said the $20,000 donated is in addition to the money raised at the run. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
