Buffalo Police investigating two overnight shootings

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Buffalo Police are investigating two shootings that occurred just 20 minutes apart early Sunday morning.

The first shooting happened at 2:40 a.m. at Orleans Street and Westminster Avenue. Police say a 21-year-old Buffalo man was attending a party when he was struck by gunfire in the leg. He was taken to ECMC with non-life threatening injuries.

Police responded to reports of a second shooting at 3:00 a.m. in the 300 block of Warwick Avenue. Police say a 25-year-old man was shot multiple times. Detectives who responded to the scene believe the victim walked to Warwick Avenue after being shot. Police are still trying to determine the exact location of where the shooting occurred. The victim is listed in fair condition at ECMC.
