2 killed within 1 hour in Buffalo

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Buffalo police have revealed the names of two people killed in violent incidents Friday morning.

Just before 8:15 a.m., police say Paul Held, 52, of Buffalo was fatally stabbed on Oakmont Ave. Another Buffalo resident, William Hemphill, 30, was charged with Held’s murder.

Not even an hour later, police say Buffalo resident Charles Wyatt, 51, was fatal shot near East Delavan and Floss Ave. An arrest in Wyatt’s killing has not been announced.
