Arrest made after Town of Tonawanda shelter in place incident

TOWN OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) — After a “shelter in place” was issued in the Town of Tonawanda, police have made an arrest in relation to the incident.

For a few hours on Sunday afternoon, residents in the area of Ritchie Ave. were told not to leave their homes after someone reported the sound of a gunshot.

Angela Baughman, 36, was later accused of shooting out a car window.

The Town of Tonawanda resident was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, prohibited use of a weapon, reckless endangerment and criminal mischief.

Police say they found a .12 gauge shotgun believed to have been used in the crime.
