TOWN OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) — Police were called to a street early Wednesday morning for the second time in four days after a shot was fired; they say this time a man was shot.

Officers were called to Ritchie Avenue around 1:00 a.m. where they say a man was shot in the leg during a home invasion. The weapon used was a shotgun.

The victim was taken to Erie County Medical Center for treatment.

The incident Wednesday morning is unrelated to a call Sunday where nearby residents were told to stay indoors, police on the scene told News 4.

In that case, a shot was fired at a car window.  On Tuesday, police charged Angela Baughman with criminal weapon possession, reckless endangerment and criminal mischief. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
