TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) — City of Tonawanda police further charged a Lewiston man after initially arresting him on an outstanding bench warrant.
When police went to pick up Felix Habimfura, 37, on the warrant at a Main St. bar, they say he tried to destroy two cigarette packs containing cocaine. He also tried to throw away three glassine envelopes containing cocaine while being taken into custody, police say.
Police revealed that the bench warrant Habimfura was picked up had to do with a previous cocaine charge.
Habimfura now faces criminal possession of a controlled substance, destroying physical evidence and drug paraphernalia possession charges.
