Flooding in Allegany County Sunday morning

BELMONT, N.Y. (WIVB) — Overnight flooding has led to water-logged streets and at least one rescue in Allegany County.

Two people trapped in a camper along County Road 20 had to be pulled to safety, according to a dispatcher who spoke with News 4.

Several roads have been flooded and been partially closed, including State Route 305, Genesee Street, Main Street and Orchard Street in Cuba. People living along Orchard Street had to be evacuated.

People were advised to evacuate on Main Street in Cuba, according to Kelsey Bunker, who submitted a Report !t photo of the flooding there. Evacuation on Main was not mandatory, according to the sheriff’s dispatcher.
