Police stop alleged drugged driver in Tonawanda

TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) — A North Tonawanda woman was charged with driving while impaired by drugs when she was stopped on Minerva St.

As they responded to a report of “reckless operation” Wednesday night, police officers found and stopped 59-year-old Corrine Martin.

According to a witness who followed Martin, she had been driving all over the road, nearly striking curbs.

Officers described Martin as “lethargic” as she told them about opioid pills she consumed.

Martin was charged and taken into custody on $250 bail.
