Lockport man accused of driving drunk, leaving scene of accident

LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Lockport man has been charged with DWI and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.

New York State Police say Jay Penman, 63, left the scene of of an accident at a gas station on Robinson Rd. Friday.

Penman was later found at his home, where he refused sobriety tests. At the Lockport State Police barracks, Troopers say his blood-alcohol content measured out to .12 percent, which is more than the legal limit.

Penman will appear in court at a future date.
