Niagara County deputies searching for man who robbed Lockport store

LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) — Early Tuesday morning, the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office says a Sunoco station on Transit Rd. in Lockport was robbed.

Just after 4:30 a.m., deputies say a thin, white man, standing at about 5’8″, entered the store and asked for the money in the cash register.

He was wearing gray jeans, a dark hoodie, a blue beanie, white sneakers and a scarf around his face.

Although he did not display a weapon, the robber kept his hand in his pocket as if he had one.

After the robbery, deputies say he ran east towards Robinson Rd. with an unclear amount of money. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
