Troopers question man at home, arrest him on unrelated charges

CLARKSVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) — On Sunday night, New York State Police visited Thomas Williams, 62, at his Allegany County home to talk about an investigation, but ended up arresting him for something else.

When Troopers arrived at Williams’ home, they say they noticed five marijuana plants growing near the front door.

This led to charges of unlawful growth of cannabis and unlawful marijuana possession against the Clarksville man.

Williams will be in court in October. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
