Albion police to begin wearing body cameras


ALBION, N.Y. (WIVB) — Starting Saturday, police officers in Albion will be implementing the third part of their Video Recording Program.

Officers will begin wearing body cameras in order to better capture incidents with civilians.

Albion police officers had already been using cameras in their vehicles and police station for “several years.”

The department tested eight different body cameras before making their selection. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
