ECMC nurse admits to forcibly touching patient

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — An ECMC nurse has admitted to sexually abusing a person in his care.

Clarence Center resident Jordan Donalson, 23, pleaded guilty to two counts of forcible touching.

Donalson was placed on administrative leave during the investigation, and also had his license suspended pending the case’s outcome.

“With the victim’s consent, the Justice Center recommended this plea to spare the victim the rigors of a trial,” said Special Prosecutor Gunning, noting that the victim was receiving residential patient care at ECMC. “Striking a balance between holding defendants accountable for their crimes and respecting the desires of the victim is at the core of our work. Here, we were able to do both.”

Donalson may be barred from working with vulnerable people in New York.

He faces up to two years in jail when sentenced on December 21. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
