Car hits taxi in Niagara Falls

Location of crash where a car hit a taxi, which hit a parked car in Niagara Falls Saturday

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) — A crash management team is investigating a Saturday night collision that sent two people to hospitals.

A woman from Lewiston, age 46, was driving her car westbound on Niagara Falls Boulevard near 89th Street around 9:30 p.m., when her car hit a taxi that was backing out of a parking lot onto the boulevard.

The cab crossed over several lanes, hitting a pole, parked car and a building. The building has minimal damage.

The woman in the car was taken to Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo for a broken arm and knee and possible head injuries. The cab driver was brought to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center to be checked out for a head injury and knee pain.
