Amherst bank robbery suspect arrested


AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) — A bank robbery on Sheridan Drive in Amherst led to an arrest one day later.

The robbery occurred around 3 p.m. Monday when Mark Evans, 31, allegedly entered a First Niagara Bank, gave a teller a note, and left with an unclear amount of cash before exiting the bank.

Evans, an Amherst resident was charged with robbery, grand larceny and possession of a controlled substance.
