BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Gov. Andrew Cuomo has announced a new series of accessible kayak launches across the state; One of the sites is in Buffalo.

The new docks will make it easier for those with physical disabilities or challenges to enter the water at New York State Parks.

In addition to those at Green Lakes, Seneca Lake and Wellesley Island, the Buffalo Harbor State Park will get new docks this season.

“New York is home to exquisite natural beauty that everyone deserves an opportunity to enjoy,” Cuomo said. “These improvements reflect New York’s legacy of inclusiveness by making outdoor recreation in these spectacular places more accessible and enjoyable for all New Yorkers and visitors alike.”

The docks in Buffalo, which are part of Cuomo’s $900 million NY Parks 2020 initiative, will be constructed later this Fall.
