BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A drunk man taken to Buffalo General Hospital for treatment has been accused of attacking staff members, police say.

Just after midnight Tuesday, police say Fredonia resident David Proctor, 35, was taken to the hospital.

When he got there, he was “belligerent and combative” with hospital employees, according to officers.

During this time, Proctor allegedly kicked a security guard, pushed a nurse and tried to run out of the building before he was apprehended.

Proctor was charged with second-degree assault. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
