KeyBank transition for First Niagara customers near completion

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The transition from First Niagara to KeyBank is almost complete.

KeyBank gave a detailed transition plan on Thursday that shows a time frame for operations.

Thursday night at 11:59 p.m., First Niagara Online Bill Pay will no longer be available.

The next day, all First Niagara branches will close at 3 p.m. At 6 p.m., First, telephone banking and mobile banking will no longer be available either.

Before Tuesday, October 11, First Niagara customers can use their check, credit and debit cards for transactions. Along with that, they will still be able to withdraw cash from First Niagara and KeyBank ATMs.

On Tuesday, all new KeyBank branches will open and all systems and accounts will be converted to KeyBank. This includes Bill Pay, online and mobile banking, as well as telephone banking.
