Police investigate report of stranger approaching students

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Buffalo Public School district sent a notice to parents after a stranger reportedly approached a group of students Thursday morning.

According to the letter sent home, the incident happened at a bus stop at Elmwood and Utica. A man reportedly approached male students and offered them drugs, then grabbed a female student’s arm. District officials say the students made it safely on the bus when it arrived.

The man is described as 5’6, African-American, wearing a red collared shirt, three gold chains and a black baseball cap.

The Buffalo Police Department is investigating the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police.
