Police: Stalker came to woman’s workplace, contacted teen son before arrest

HINSDALE, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Cattaraugus County man accused of stalking a woman has been arrested.

New York State Police out of Allegany County say that Shawn Kemp, 36, repeatedly tried to contact a woman and came to her place of employment on a number of days.

Along with that, Kemp allegedly reached out to the woman’s 13-year-old son through social media.

After being advised to stop contacting the woman several times, Kemp refused, according to Troopers.

On Sunday, officers came to Kemp’s residence in Hinsdale and charged him with stalking and aggravated harassment.

He will appear in Town of Belfast court later this month.
