BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The group some call “The World’s Greatest Party Band” will play a show out of the ordinary with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra next year.
The B-52s have sold more than 20 million albums over their 36-year career. On June 7, the band known for hits like “Love Shack” and “Rock Lobster” will perform with the BPO.
This isn’t the group’s first venture into a symphonic collaboration, as the B-52s performed with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra in 2015. That led to performances with the Nashville Symphony and the Boston Pops Orchestra.
Tickets for the Buffalo show go on sale Saturday, October 15. They can be bough online at bpo.org or by calling 885-5000.
