BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Jim Kelly’s nephew, Chad has spoken out about his involvement in a fight at a high school football game.
The video has been shared across the country. Chad Kelly had to be physically restrained after he ran out on to the field after the brawl broke out.
Kelly is considered by many to be the top quarterback prospect in this year’s draft. He was in town to see his brother Casey play for St. Joe’s.
Casey took a late hit on the sidelines. It went from a scuffle to a bench-clearing brawl.
Chad was watching the game from behind a fence next to the stands. He saw Casey in the middle of the fight and ran onto the field.
Chad did not engage anyone physically, but Monday, he said he should not have left the stands.
Kelly has been in trouble before. He was dismissed from Clemson University and was arrested outside a Buffalo bar nearly two years ago.
