Buffalo man found guilty of murder after January double shooting

NORTH TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) — Dominick Cruz was located in Pennsylvania earlier this year after police accused him of a January double shooting in North Tonawanda. Now, Cruz has been found guilty of his crimes.

Cruz was charged with murder, attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon after killing Mark Sternin, 27, and injuring Tyler Sadauskaus, 24.

Shortly after the shooting, authorities tried to confront Cruz at work in an arrest attempt, but he fled.

A tip eventually led authorities to Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where the Buffalo native was found in April. There, he was arrested without incident.

Cruz will likely be sentenced in December.
