SILVER CREEK, N.Y. (WIVB) — Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for a disorderly person at Silver Creek Central School shortly after 9 a.m. Thursday.

Officers say that Gowanda resident Stephanie Hart, 32, was “yelling and causing a disturbance in the school.”

As they tried to calm her down, they also told her to stop yelling, to no avail.

Deputies then tried to place her in custody, but she resisted, biting one deputy on the arm.

The deputy was injured and had to be treated at a local hospital.

Hart was charged with assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct before being jailed on no bail.
