Man accused of biting, stealing keys from disabled, elderly man

SPRINGVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) — Erie County Sheriff’s deputies placed a slew of charges against a Springville man after an alleged assault.

A disabled 65-year-old man told deputies that Jeremy Bieber, 39, bit him and stole his keys in their apartment building.

Bieber, in the adjacent apartment, was confronted by deputies, but he then resisted arrest, they say.

One deputy suffered a hand injury during the arrest attempt, but Bieber was eventually taken into custody.

Officials charged him with robbery/causing physical injury, assault, criminal mischief, petit larceny, resisting arrest, criminal possession of stolen property and obstruction of governmental administration.

Bieber was jailed on $25,000 bail. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
