Man with 3 DWI convictions charged again

NORTH TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) — A North Tonawanda man with a history of DWIs and license revocations was allegedly caught driving drunk again.

Scott Carlson, 52, told City of Tonawanda police that he had been drinking hard lemonade when they pulled him over on Niagara St. Thursday.

Before he was stopped, he had been recklessly driving “all over the road,” according to witnesses.

In the past, Carlson had his license revoked five times and was convicted of DWI three times. The DWI convictions happened in 2011 and 2013.

Thursday night, police charged Carlson with three felony DWIs, aggravated unlicensed operation and vehicle and traffic violations.

Carlson was held for a court appearance. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
