Where to trick-or-treat or party on Halloween weekend

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Lots of trick-or-treating events are happening in western New York later this month. See what you can do below:


  • Larkin Square – Truck or Treat

October 21,  5-8pm – Larkin Square, 745 Seneca Street, Buffalo

Several bands, lots of food trucks, must be in costume to Truck or Treat

  • Elmwood Village Trick or Treat

October 30, 1pm – 3pm

Participating businesses will have a sign clearly posted saying, “Get Your Treats Here.”

  • Halloween at the Broadway Market

October 29, 11am-2pm

  • Halloween Pet Parade and Halloween Costume Contest

October 29, 11am-1pm – Animal Outfitters, 500 Seneca Street, Buffalo

        There will be treats-for-tricks, goodies for pets and people and a pet costume contest.


  • Hamburg Halloween Parade

October 29, 2pm – 3pm

Children of all ages are invited to line up in costume, by 1:45pm at the Village/Farmer’s Market Parking Lot. The parade will proceed west on Union Street ending at Memorial Park on the corner of Lake & Union Sts. Upon arrival at the park, patrons will be treated to refreshments, music and a Halloween gift for each child.


  • 32nd Annual Citywide Halloween Fun Fest

October 31, 6pm-8pm at the former Allen Park Ice Rink

Event coincides with Jamestown’s trick-or-treating hours to offer a safe and fun alternative to going door to door.


  • Halloween Parade in Kenmore

October 31, 6pm. Corner of Wardman Ave and Delaware Rd.

  • Haunted Tales and Crafts

October 28, 7-9pm  Kenmore Youth Center, 135 Wilbur Ave.

  • Halloween on the Green

October 29

10-1pm – face painting, games, Fall crafts, raffle and refreshments

11:30am – Kids under 12 costume contest

12:15-1pm – Magician


  • October 22, 10am-4pm – Admission free

                NYPA Niagara Power Project Power Vista, 4777 Lewiston Road

Spooky games, haunted house, crafts, historic preservation program, movies and a children’s Costume contest


  • Town of Niagara Trick or Treating

October 31, 4pm – 7pm


  • Halloween Party

October 28, 1pm – $5 for members, $7 for non-members

Senior Center, 291 Ensminger Road

Sign up by Friday, Oct. 21


  • Village of Williamsville Halloween Parade and Party

October 29, 6pm – 8pm.

Parade begins at 6pm, meet behind the Williamsville Firehall, parade leads to Island Park.
