BPO percussionist hits Tchaikovsky’s 1812 a bit hard

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)  The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra had an unusually exuberant percussionist on stage this weekend.

The BPO posted this picture to their Facebook page stating the damage was a casualty of our performance of Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture this weekend.

They say the percussionist meant it when he said he was playing as loud as possible.
